Now that summer is here and school is out, it’s a great idea to keep your child actively learning. Our Grammar Nanny Jean Hayward has put together some easy ideas that will keep children of any age engaged.

Here is an idea for our little ones as we embark on summer activities and vacations.

After a special outing, have your child draw a picture of their day.

Depending on their age and skill level, they could dictate a sentence, print a sentence or a whole story.  Then talk about the day and help them to sequence the events and discuss the day.

You could purchase an inexpensive journal for these special entries.
